Anaesthesiology

The Anaesthesiology Department ensures safe anaesthesia, sedation and pain relief for surgical, diagnostic and critical care patients. Our anaesthesiologists assess patients pre-operatively, optimise medical conditions and select appropriate anaesthesia techniques for each procedure.

General anaesthesia, regional blocks, spinal and epidural anaesthesia and monitored anaesthesia care (MAC) are administered by trained specialists using modern monitoring equipment. Intra-operative vital sign surveillance and fluid management minimise anaesthesia-related risks.

The department provides 24×7 coverage for emergency surgeries, labour analgesia, ICU ventilator management and post-operative pain control. Acute and chronic pain clinics support patients with cancer pain, nerve pain and post-surgical discomfort.

Critical incident preparedness, difficult airway management and resuscitation protocols are maintained to the highest standards. Anaesthesiologists participate actively in trauma teams, code blue responses and perioperative quality improvement.
