The Neurology Department manages disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles without surgical intervention where appropriate. Common conditions treated include stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, migraine, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular disorders.

Acute stroke care emphasises rapid assessment, CT/MRI imaging and timely medical treatment including thrombolysis when criteria are met. Stroke rehabilitation planning begins early to maximise neurological recovery and prevent complications.

Electrophysiology studies such as EEG and nerve conduction tests aid diagnosis of seizure disorders and peripheral nerve disease. Headache clinics, memory evaluation and movement disorder management provide structured long-term care pathways.

Neurologists collaborate with neurosurgery, cardiology, physiotherapy and speech therapy teams for comprehensive patient support. Medication optimisation, fall-prevention advice and caregiver education are integral to chronic neurological care.
